This charming spot has quickly gained a loyal following thanks to its relaxed ambiance and friendly service. Customers rave about the impressively diverse menu, which includes scrumptious options for all diets, such as vegan and gluten-free dishes.
The highlight of many reviews is the cafe's renowned scones, praised for their fluffy texture and delightful flavor. Many patrons also recommend the bacon, brie, and cranberry panini, paired with a perfectly brewed latte. The cozy atmosphere, accentuated by the greenery and quirky decor, creates an inviting space for all who enter. Visitors often describe feeling like they stepped into a warm, welcoming home, thanks in part to the affable staff and the thoughtful owner who even gifted a spider plant to a young visitor.

Great little cafe, entrance is found at the top of the stairs. Nice section of food and drinks. The plants fill this cafe and give it a cute vibe. We tried out the scones and there was quite a selection to chose from. Would go back again.

Called in for the first time today. Very busy but greeted quickly and given a menu to browse whilst we waited. Service was quick and friendly. Delicious bacon, brie and cranberry panini with tasty side salad. Latte lovely and hot. Great atmosphere, quirky decor and will definitely be back

Plenty vegan and gluten-free options available in this superb dog friendly cafe situated just a stones throw away from the cathedral. Staff, and the owner in particular, are warm, welcoming, and just super friendly. It felt as though they had welcomed us into their cosy home to share their awesome faire with us. I can recommend the breakfast panini. The coffee walnut cake is also one of the best I've tried, as are the fluffy and light scones. A special note of thanks to the owner who gifted one of his spider plants to my daughter. Such a lovely thoughtful gesture. Thank you We'll be back next time we are in Durham.

So glad we stumbled on this charming cafe during our stay in Durham. Sat in beautifully curated surroundings with plants all over and we'll chosen light fittings and decor. The choice of food was wide ranging and delicious and enjoyed from traditional cups, saucers and dishes. Staff were friendly, helpful and prompt. All was enjoyed in a comfortable atmosphere with the reassuring noise of chatter around us. What a treat!

Short waiting before being greeted by a gentleman. First impression busy and buzzing with people from all walks of life. Ordered our meal and beverage and was amazed by what was presented. Salmon and avocado salad for my husband and the Apple, Wensleydale and Walnut Quiche. All we can say is....what a pleasantly beautiful meal. We will come back again.
